Ms. Kresse began her teaching career in Davenport, IA with the Davenport Community School District where she taught English for one semester at the Alternative High School.  She then gained full-time French teaching employment in 1991-1992 as the K-12 French teacher for St. Katharine's St. Mark's College Preparatory School which is now known as Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf, IA.  After teaching there for four years, in 1994 Ms. Kresse returned to her home state of Missouri to take a full-time public school position with the Kennett Community School District where she taught 7-12 grade French.  After another four years, she and her spouse returned to Iowa to raise their child closer to family by acquiring employment in the Mason City Community School District.  Ms. Kresse taught 9-12 grade French and was the International Club Sponsor for 11 years at Mason City High School.  In 2009, Ms Kresse was, unfortunately, pink slipped due to budget cuts and lost her position with MCCSD; however, she happily interviewed with the Perry Community School District for whom she has been employed for the past two years.  Currently Ms. Kresse is the Perry High School French teacher, a Success 101 educator, as well as, the high school TAG facilitator.  She is hoping to remain with PCSD until she retires from teaching.

Ms. Teresa Kresse is the French teacher at Perry High School as well as a Freshmen Success 101 educator and TAG facilitator.  She has been teaching for 22 years and is currently in her fourth educational position.  She holds a Master's Degree in Quality Education and has been a life-long learner her entire teaching career via district in-servicing and graduate coursework beyond her traditional duties.

Ms. Kresse is the single mother of two boys, ages 12 and 16.  Her son, Dax, attends Perry Middle School while her oldest child, Malcolm, lives with her ex-husband in Davenport, IA where he resides.  She enjoys spending quality time with her children and family when she is able to do so.  This involves attending numerous athletic and musical events in addition to playing family-favorite games such as Monopoly and Magic the Gathering.  Ms. Kresse also loves scrapbooking family albums and hand-crafting cards in her free time.
